Digital Desk: An IndiGo flight carrying 187 passengers from Guwahati to Dibrugarh in Assam was forced to return after it failed to land due to bad weather conditions on Monday.

As per initial reports, the IndiGo aircraft 6E 2652, which took off from Guwahati's Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA), was scheduled to land at Dibrugarh's Mohanbari Airport.

As per the information received, bad weather made it impossible for the flight to land safely at the airport, leading officials to send it back.

As a result, the aircraft, which carried a total of 187 passengers, had to make its way back to Guwahati.

It should be pointed out that the same aircraft had reported a technical issue, forcing it to make an emergency landing at the Guwahati airport.

The incident took place on July 4, and a flight carrying several political leaders from Assam had to make an emergency landing after reporting a technical problem.

The IndiGo flight had taken off from Guwahati's Borjhar airport but had to return for an emergency landing shortly after takeoff.

According to sources, Assam cabinet ministers Bimal Bora and Ranjeet Kumar Dass, as well as MLA Naba Kumar Doley, were on the flight, which was also carrying hundreds of other passengers.

Meanwhile, it was found that the same aircraft had previously reported another glitch and had to make a similar emergency landing.
