Digital Desk: The recent riots disrupted Manipur's petroleum supply. With the increase in hostilities, the Imphal airport saw increased traffic as a result of civilian evacuations and the deployment of defence soldiers. IndianOil's Airline Fueling Station (AFS) at BirTikendrajit International Airport was critical in assisting airlines in dealing with the increased traffic.

Similarly, IndianOil's Malom Depot meets the entire state's fuel needs, while Sekmai BP provides clean cooking fuel in the state. Even though the residence and property of Malom Depot's Location In Charge were burned and ransacked, Imphal AFS, Sekmai BP, and Malom Depot never skipped a single shift.

However, the firm not only secured the supply of crucial petroleum goods in the state, but it also ensured the safety and security of its employees throughout the riots by removing them whenever necessary.  While others elected to remain in place and keep the units working. Volunteers from IndianOil stations in the North East and men from the Territorial Army's 414 ASC Batallion joined them.

They risked the rioting to keep the plant, depot, and AFS active, as well as the delivery of crucial petroleum products in Manipur. The 414 ASC Batallion was set up by the Indian Army and MoPNG and is made up of personnel from the Army, IndianOil, BPCL, and HPCL.

While the state is yet to return to routine, IndianOil has gone above and beyond by beginning to refill depleted stocks. Since supplies via the traditional route have been disrupted, an alternate route is being used. Rescue supplies are also being sent from IndianOil's cutting-edge Depot in Moinarbond.
