    Meghalaya's internet services have been
    restored seven days after the Assam-Meghalaya firing incident.



    color:black">West Jaintia Hills, East Jaintia Hills, East Khasi Hills, Ri-Bhoi,
    eastern West Khasi Hills, West Khasi Hills, and South West Khasi Hills have all
    had their internet services suspended.

    misinformation, which could have heightened tensions with Assam.

    attacking Assamese tourists and drivers.



    color:black">On November 22, an
    incident of firing occurred between Assam Forest Officials and unknown
    miscreants at Mukhrow, Jirikinding PS, West Karbi Anglong District. According
    to reports, the incident occurred when the Forest Party attempted to stop a
    truck transporting illegal timber.



    When the forest
    party personnel stopped the truck, they were gheraoed by unknown miscreants who
    resorted to violence. To save their lives, the forest party resorted to
    shooting. Three civilians and one forest guard were killed in the incident.
