    Isolated rainfall is likely to occur in the Northeastern States today
    Digital Desk: According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Assam, including other northeastern states likely to witness an isolated rainfall today. 

    The Central part of Assam and Meghalaya are at hazard of localized inundation due to rain counts over 50 mm on Friday for 24 hours.

    On Wednesday, isolated rainfall occurred in Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura.

    Moreover, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim were in for scattered snow with isolated thunderstorms on Wednesday. This climate is likely to continue for today as well. 

    In Assam, the isolated rain is likely to continue till Thursday, including Nagaland. Besides, Sikkim is likely to witness scattered, isolated rainfall throughout the day.

    On Tuesday night, Assam witnessed hailstorms and lightning. Such climatic occurrences are likely to continue in the state till February 4, 2022.

    According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), cold day conditions can start over the Northwest area from Thursday, extending into the West, Central and East parts on Friday.

    Moreover, thick to very thick mist is likely during the morning hours in certain parts of the Northwest, Central pockets and East India on Thursday.
