Guwahati: The 'Journalists Association For Assam' (JAFA Achievers Award-2021) honors 27 dignitaries in various categories here at the auditorium of the Public Works Department on Sunday.
The JAFA award-2021 has been conferred to the journalists of several Assam media houses, including people related to Police service, Health service, and Social service. The award was also conferred to Kushal Saikia, a journalist of Prag News from the Lakhimpur district.

According to the list, the category-wise winners are Journalism: Jitendra Kumar Chowdhury (Dainik Asom), Mousamjyoti Baishya (The Sentinel), Chaya Moni Bhuyan ('NewsLive), Dhurbajyoti Pathak (Asomiya Prartidin), and Nayan Prartim Kumar (Pratidin Time); Photo Journalism: Altab Ali (UB Photos); News Anchor: Geetashree Talukdar (News18 Asom Northeast); Video Journalism: Pradip Barman (Dy365); Young Editor for Print Media: Niloy Paul (Bengali daily 'Prantajyoti'); Peace & Prosperity: Longing Teron (Karbi daily 'Khekar'); Human Rights: Dr. Dibyajyoti Saikia; Entrepreneurship: Arjed Saharia; Social Service: Tushar Paul; Medical Service: Dr. Abhijit Sarma (Superintendent GMCH); Police Service: Rosy Kalita, SP (CM Vigilance); Public Administration: Adil Khan (Transport Commissioner); Youth Politician: Jibesh Ray (BJP).
Assam Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass was present at the award ceremony. The award was given by CM Vigilance Superintendent of Police Roji Kalita and Guwahati Medical College and Hospital Superintendent Abhijit Sarma.
