Digital Desk: Amid the festive season in Assam, when the state government is working hard to take Bihu to the 'world centre stage,' the leader of a pro-Khalistan organization issued an important message to the people of Assam.

A man representing himself as Gurpatwan Singh Pannu, General Counsel of the separatist organization Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), sent an audio message to various Assamese journalists, alleging that violence could erupt in Guwahati on the day of the Rongali Bihu celebration.

"On April 14th, during Bihu celebrations in Guwahati...stay home and stay safe as SFJ could resort to violence in Guwahati during Bihu celebrations, just as they killed four Indian Army men in Bathinda to avert Khalsa Sajna festivities in Bathinda Damdama sahib. Keep to yourself and be safe, Assamese people. India may resort to violence to accuse pro-Khalistani Sikhs or ULFA (I) members, as SFJ is providing $100,000 to hurl shoes at PM, Narendra Modi. Stay at home and be safe. The statement is from Gurpatwan Singh Pannu, General Counsel of Sikhs for Justice (sic),"  said the recorded message.

Earlier, a leader of a pro-Khalistan organization offered a prize of $100,000 for anyone who could throw a shoe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his April 14 visit to Assam.

He further claimed that Prime Minister Modi had been involved in the killing of Assamese and pro-Khalistan Sikhs in Punjab.

"Modi will attend the Bihu celebrations in Guwahati on April 14. If you throw shoes in Narendra Modi's direction, you could win $100,000. Is SFJ going to stop Modi, who is responsible for the deaths of Assamese and pro-Khalistan Sikhs in Punjab, from Assam to Australia? PM Modi would be stopped by SFJ from Assam to Australia. The recorded message identified the sender as Gurpatwan Singh Pannu, General Counsel, SFJ," the recorded message stated.

PM Modi will travel to visit Assam to participate in the Assam government's attempt to set a Guinness Book of World Records by gathering 10,000 dancers at a single place to perform Bihu, as well as to lay the foundation for many development projects worth Rs 8,000 crore.
