Digital Desk: The late Sub-Inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha's mother, Sumitra Rabha, expressed her emotions on Thursday, saying that despite losing both of her children, neither Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma nor anybody else visited or spoke to her.

Addressing a press conference, Sumitra said, "I lost my daughter a few months ago and now again my son. I'm feeling quite lonely now. Several people believe that the chief minister helped me or contacted me after my daughter died tragically, but this is not true."

"I do not want to seek any sort of help from the chief minister because he was not there when we needed him," Sumitra said, pleading with the chief minister to provide justice to Assamese citizens.

"I have nothing else to get now that I have lost both of my children. What shall I do now? I'm all alone. Now the chief minister must provide justice to the people of Assam, the media who helped and stood with me during the difficult times,” she said.

She raised the issue of the ongoing investigation into her daughter Junmoni Rabha's death.

Sumitra Rabha claims that despite inquiries by the Assam Police, CID, and now the CBI, no progress has been made in the case.

Additionally, Rabha questioned the CBI's capacity to recover the phone in the absence of the police and CID. On May 18, Chief Minister Sarma said that he was willing to hand over the case to the CBI if the family of the deceased police official demanded it.

Speaking to the media, CM Sarma urged justice in the criticism of the police department and the deceased. Additionally, he reaffirmed his willingness to turn over the case to the CBI at the request of the deceased's family members. As a result, the case was transferred to the CBI for further investigation.
