    Digital Desk: A powerful bomb exploded in Manipur's Ukhrul district on Monday, April 3, at around 6.30 p.m., injuring around five people, one of whom is in serious condition. 


    Reportedly, the incident occurred between the Makhan Store and the Viewland Baptist Church. The victims were taken to Ukhrul District Hospital.


    A team of Ukhrul district police officers and paramilitary forces rushed to the spot of the incident to conduct an inquiry. It has yet to be verified who carried out the attack.

    Notably, earlier on March 21, a blast from a suspected improvised explosive device (IED) took place inside the mini secretariat campus in Manipur's Ukhrul district, according to police sources. 


    The explosion occurred around 4:35 p.m. at the northern block of the district headquarters' mini secretariat, which authorities think was set off by a thrown IED bomb.


    Although there were no casualties or injuries recorded at the blast site, the incident could have had devastating repercussions. Police officers quickly filed a sou moto case at the Ukhrul Police Station and began an investigation, which includes an ongoing covert operation. The police hope to make an advancement in the case shortly.
