Digital Desk:  The Lok Sabha has been delayed until July 24 (Monday) due to the controversy over the current scenario in violence-hit Manipur.

According to sources, chaotic situations were reported in both houses of Parliament shortly after the House met following an adjournment on Friday.

Opposition MPs chanted slogans and asked that Prime Minister Narendra Modi issue a statement on Manipur. The House was then postponed until Monday by Deputy Speaker Rajendra Agrawal.

Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated that the administration is willing to talk about the Manipur problem.

"I think the opposition isn't serious about the conversation on the Manipur issue," Singh remarked. "The government wishes to talk about the Manipur problem. PM Modi acknowledged that the nation is ashamed of what has occurred in the state and promised stern repercussions. However, if the opposition is unwilling to talk, it just indicates that they are not sincere," he added.

The Rajya Sabha, on the other hand, has been adjourned until 2:30 p.m. of Friday. Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar announced the adjournment as opposition MPs continued to raise their concerns.
