    Digital Desk: A teacher from Assam's Jorhat Bahona College contributed to India's Sun Mission, which was launched on September 2 at 11:50 a.m. 

    Aishwarya Sharma, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Bahona College, has been appointed as Joint Investigator Scientist on a critical portion of the Aditya-L1 mission, which is a proud moment for Assam. 

    According to sources, she was involved in the analysis of data acquired and relayed by SUIT, the telescope linked to Aditya-L1. 

    She has been the Aditya Telescope's Principal Investigator since 2015. 

    ISRO today (September 2nd), Saturday, launched its first-ever solar Aditya-L1 Mission from Sriharikota today. India's first solar mission has the potential to change our understanding of the Sun's dynamics and space weather. 

    The Aditya-L1 project, according to ISRO, is the first space-based observatory-class Indian solar mission to study the Sun.
