    Mob lynched Assam man, set on fire after he allegedly killed minor

    On a shocking, Assam man was lynched by the region's locals for his alleged killing of a minor boy. 


    Digital Desk: On Saturday, a mob in Dibrugarh's Rohmoria lynched and set fire to a man charged with killing a 5-year-old boy.

    "A five-year-old child at Dhalajan tea plantation under Dibrugarh's Rohmoria police station was allegedly stabbed to death in a machete attack by Sunil Tanti (35)," according to a senior police officer.

    "Following the incident, an enraged mob savagely attacked Tanti with a machete and rods before putting the situation under control; Dibrugarh Superintendent of Police Shwetank Mishra, Chabua Circle Inspector, Rohmoria police station officer in charge, and the central reserve police force (CRPF) arrived on the scene.

    According to the officer, the 5-year-old child's and Tanti's bodies have been sent for autopsy.
