Nazira assault case: 3 ATTSA leaders blackmail maid to withdraw case
It should be noted that Dutta's maid filed a legal complaint last month stating that her boss splashed boiling water on her body and confined her to a bathroom.

Digital Desk: In a major twist in the assault case of a maid in Assam's Nazira, the victim is being blackmailed by three Assam Tea Tribes Students' Association (ATTSA) officials to withdraw the case against suspended APS Subhalakshmi Dutta, according to reports on Wednesday.

According to authorities, the three accused leaders demanded money from APS Dutta in exchange for blackmailing and forcing the victim lady to drop the assault case against the police officer.

After the incident became public, the students' body removed the three ATTSA officials who attempted to defend the accused police officer.

    The other expelled leaders are:

    Sivasagar district in-charge Mun Rajwar

District Committee Organising Secretary Rajeev Karmakar

Vice-President of Nazira Branch Committee Diganta Kurmi

Yesterday, it was reported that APS Dutta was hiding out at the home of former MLA Kushal Deuri in Guwahati, just seconds after she was fired for abusing her maid severely.

She fled the scene after learning that the police had initiated a manhunt for her. Meanwhile, efforts are being made to apprehend her.

It should be noted that Dutta's maid filed a legal complaint last month stating that her boss splashed boiling water on her body and confined her to a bathroom.

According to sources, the victim's body exhibits the scars of unimaginable assault, sparking community outrage.
