Digital Desk: The All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) leader Badruddin Ajmal has received a warning from the Assam State Commission for Women for his comments towards the Hindu community.

The commission cited Ajmal's statement as insulting and described his remarks as sexist, misogynistic, and unethical.

The AIUDF chief's remarks about the Hindu community, in which he said that Hindus like to have illicit relationships until the age of 40, made headlines on December 2.

According to Ajmal, Hindu males enjoy having extramarital affairs with numerous women up until the age of 40, at which point they prefer to get married and start families since they have run out of other possibilities.

As said by Ajmal, Hindu women should get married by the age of 18, just like Muslim women.

However, Ajmal faced intense backlash for his blatantly sexist remark across social media sites.

A day after making his remarks, Ajmal issued an "apologetic" statement, claiming that he had no desire to offend anyone. However, he asserted that population control should be considered.
