Digital Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address BJP workers and supporters on Thursday, as the BJP appears poised to hold power in Tripura both on its own and with its senior ally, the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party, in Nagaland.

According to official sources, PM Modi will be welcomed on the victory during a gathering of senior party leaders at the party's headquarters here.

According to the most recent Election Commission data for the 60-member assembly elections, the BJP is said to have won or is leading 33 seats in Tripura.

In Nagaland, the party and its allies have 36 votes. In Meghalaya, the BJP was leading in three seats and may again form a coalition with the NPP to form a government, as it did previously.

Tripura's victory is noteworthy since the Left and Congress allied against it, while Pradyot Debbarma's TIPRA Motha weakened its support among tribals.
