The police officers detained two people for further interrogation in the matter.
Digital Desk: A team from the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Central Investigation Bureau (CBI) found a gun and ammunition inside one of the Brahmaputra Mail coaches (Up-15657) at Bongaigaon railway station on May 25.
Two locally produced pistols with 10 rounds of live ammunition were found hidden inside a bag from coach number S5 under seat no. 67 by a team led by CBI's SI Digambar Deka and GRP during a search operation in the coaches of the Brahmaputra Mail.
Based on various inputs, the search operation was completed.
It may be mentioned that the police officers detained two people for further interrogation in the matter.
