Digital Desk: Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Thursday that ration cards will be given to every household in Assam, and the cardholders will be eligible for benefits under the Orunodoi scheme.
As Suresh Bora filed his nomination to run for the Lok Sabha, Sarma traveled to Nagaon to address the party workers.
While speaking there, the Chief Minister stated, "We will make sure ration cards reach every household. Under the Orunodoi plan, those with ration cards will be eligible to receive monetary benefits."
Speaking on the distribution of money under the "Lakhpati Baideo" scheme, Sarma stated, "We will give Rs 10,000 assistance to the accounts of Lakhpati Baideos. The government will bear the expenses for their life and health insurances. We'll provide this benefit to every household."
He said, "We are planning for another 50,000 recruitments to government services," highlighting plans ahead of the Lok Sabha election.
"We have already ensured free rice for the people of the state," the chief minister added, assessing the work completed.
Himanta said that on April 19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Nalbari adding, "We need to make sure that Modiji is re-elected as Prime Minister. Our goal must be to create a new Assam and a new country."
Along with state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita and other party officials, Himanta Biswa Sarma was accompanied by cabinet colleagues Jayanta Mallabaruah, Keshab Mahanta, Chandra Mohan Patowary, and Pijush Hazarika.
