    SOP released for the theatre organizing committees to operate this season

    Guwahati: The mobile theatre has faced many adverse conditions in the state due to the pandemic. Hence, the state government has decided to allow conditional performance of mobile theatres in view of the improved covid situation. An Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been imposed on the performance of the Mobile theatres from today, i.e., October 8, 2021.






    1.The District administration and Subdivision administration has been given the responsibility for the smooth functioning of the mobile theater’s-






    2.Mobile theaters to perform only in the area where covid positivity rate is lower, where it doesn’t have any containment zone nearby.






    3.Its mandatory for the members of the organizing committee to administer both doses of covid vaccine.






    4.The Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) is responsible for allowing and organizing mobile theatres based on imposed covid rules.

    4.The concerned authority will keep a strict and regular check on the theatre management if the committee is adhering to the SOP. However, if the theatre management violated the covid protocol in any circumstances, the theatre performance will be canceled immediately by the ASDMA.






    5.District/Subdivision administration may provide immunization to the remaining people to take the first or second doses of the covid vaccine.






    Duties and responsibilities of the theatre organizing committee-






    1.The organizing committee must have written permission from the district/subdivision administration by assuring that it will fully obey the rules and regulations made for the mobile theaters.






    2.The organizing committees have to keep announcing in a definite interval of time to comply with the covid protocol and take the covid vaccine.






    3.Its mandatory for The organizing committee to shut down their performances before the commencement of night curfew so that the audience can leave in time.






    4.Its mandatory for all the audience to wear a mask; moreover, hand sanitizer must be provided at each entrance and exit point.






    5.Seats should be placed maintaining a social distance.






    6.It is mandatory to check each organizing committee member’s RAT/RTPCR test report every two weeks.






    Duties and responsibilities of the producers, artiste and other employees are-






    1.It is mandatory for each member, including the producer, artiste and the crew of a mobile theatre, to administer the covid vaccine. Everyone in the theatre group will have to submit a written ‘Self Declaration’ to the district/subdivision administration in advance through the organizing committee about both the doses of covid vaccination.






    2.The theatre group will have to end its shows before the commencement of the night curfew.
    Legal action will be taken against theatre groups and organizers, including the owners in case of violation of the ‘Standard Operating Procedure’ (SOP) and the covid related policy guidelines of the State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA) as defined for mobile theatre.






    However, based on the covid situation Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) may change.
