He claimed that the percentage of those seeking to join and leave BTR has been appropriately changed.

Digital Desk: The Special Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) will be held in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) on April 30, Executive Member of the Social Welfare Department Gautam Das said on Sunday.

At a news conference on the transfer of teachers and the TET exam held at the BTR Secretariat, Gautam Das stated that the SIU has approved the employment of 427 TET teachers at the BTR.

Das stated that 1,216 posts had also been sent to the SIU for approval in addition to the 427 posts.

The executive member stated that the recruiting process to fill 1700 positions in the education department would start soon in the hopes that SIU will quickly approve the above mentioned posts.

According to BTR executive member and member of the Council Level Committee of the Education Department Gautam Das, a committee has already been constituted for the transfer and would be prepared to move forward with the transfer procedure after considering all the issues.

Das said that 22 teachers from the same sections had requested a move from the region for non-BTR areas, while 873 teachers from outside BTR areas in lower primary and upper primary sections had submitted transfer requests using a portal.

He stated that after taking into account all factors, at least 19 teachers will be given a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for transfer. This would entail bringing 19 teachers from non-BTR areas into the lower primary and upper primary sections and transferring the same number of teachers to those locations outside the region.

In the same way, according to Das, 58 high school teachers want to work for BTR and 140 teachers want to be transferred from BTR.

The percentage of people who want to join BTR and leave BTR, he claimed, has been appropriately changed.

He claimed that the transfers are being done to prevent problems with the educational system for them.
