    The victims, identified as Rinki Tiwari (35), Mira Tiwari (4), and Rohit Ali (40), sustained serious injuries. 

    Digital Desk: In a tragic event, an explosion from a transformer in the Birubari area of Guwahati resulted in the hospitalization of three individuals at Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) on Wednesday.

    The victims, identified as Rinki Tiwari (35), Mira Tiwari (4), and Rohit Ali (40), sustained serious injuries. Medical sources report that Rinki Tiwari and Mira Tiwari, who are family members, are in critical condition.

    According to GMCH, Rinki Tiwari suffered electric burns covering 20%-30% of her body surface area, including her face. Rohit Ali also sustained electric burns affecting 10%-15% of his body surface area. Mira Tiwari, the youngest victim, suffered the most severe injuries with 30%-40% of her body surface area affected by superficial mixed flame burns, also involving her face.

    Medical staff are closely monitoring their conditions, focusing on intensive care for Rinki Tiwari and Mira Tiwari who are critically injured. This incident has sparked concerns regarding the safety and maintenance of the city's electrical infrastructure. Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the explosion and take measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
