    Digital Desk: The Chief Minister of Assam Himanta Biswa Sarma took to social media late Saturday, September 7, announcing several developmental milestones. According to Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Biswanath Medical College will start in 2025. The new medical college is furnished with a total of 100 beds. A new college will be built in Bihali, said Sarma.

    Sarma also announced the government of Assam would provide a Rs 300 Cr package for the development of  North Lakhimpur. Several dams and roads will be rebuilt. A district hospital will also be built in Dhakuakhana. The CM through social media said, "The Biswanath college with 100 beds is built. It will start in 2025. Regarding the plot selection for the  Kanaklata University, we discussed it with the Gohpur public."

    A Chief Minister's secretariat was inaugurated in Dibrugarh on September 6.  The CM announced that on every Republic Day, the Chief Minister will host the National Flag in the Dibrugarh secretariat. "A few responsibilities of the capital will be shifted to the Dibrugarh secretariat from that day onwards," Sarma added. Sarma also spoke about building an auditorium with a capacity of 1000 seats.
    "Another mini secretariat will soon be established in Silchar, hopefully," said Sarma.
