Robotic knee replacement surgery is a technologically advanced procedure that uses robotic arms and computer-assisted navigation to enhance accuracy during joint replacement.
Digital Desk: In a groundbreaking achievement on 11th March, the healthcare sector of Assam conducted its first robotic knee replacement surgery at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted about the achievement on X, formerly known as Twitter and he applauded the medical team. The Chief Minister has also announced that he will establish complete robotic surgery facilities in Guwahati along with Dibrugarh and Silchar to both enhance treatment precision and boost patient recovery results.
Patients now benefit from improved joint replacement accuracy because robotic knee replacement uses robotic arms with computer assistance for navigation during surgery. This modern approach in surgery brings multiple benefits by lowering tissue destruction while accelerating patient recovery together with generating superior long-term medical outcomes for people dealing with serious knee disorders.
