celebrated the 8th International Day of Yoga with attendance of officers,
faculty members, staff members and students at Dr. T Ao Indoor Stadium of the
University here today.
Professor Mahadev Patgiri, Registrar
in-charge, Cotton University, and Professor Manjit Kumar Bhattacharya, Dean,
Cotton University's Students Welfare, officially opened the event at 7 a.m.
Following that, Ankita Borthakur, an entrepreneur and yoga coach, led a course
with Dhrubajyoti Haloi as the physical instructor.
It's worth noting that, as part of the
countdown to this year's International Yoga Day celebrations, the Cotton
University NSS Unit has been hosting a series of activities, including a yoga
workshop, a yoga competition, and a yoga demonstration, on two specific dates
set by the Ministry of Ayush for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
