    Guwahati: Drug Bust at a Rented House in Azara Market
    The suspected heroin and stolen goods point to possible links to the illegal drug trade.
    Digital Desk: Panbazar Police Station officers carried out a raid at the residential property of Usman Ali (age 30) who was S/O Late Ashan Ali on 9th March ,2025 at 5 PM based on evidence about drug selling operations. The house was located in Kharuwapara village within PS-Barpeta Dist-Barpeta Assam where Ali temporarily stayed at  Azara Market in Lakhtokia, Panbazar in Guwahati.

    During the search, the police recovered incriminating items, including:-

    09 empty plastic shop cases
    282 empty plastic vials
    Four black plastic polythene packets
    The black polythene packet revealed 15 plastic vials with suspected heroin powder within which had a combined weight of 20.42 grams together with the vials.
    Police discovered one black model of the OPPO mobile phone with suspected theft status.
    The police recovered a single piece of suspected stolen sky-blue OPPO cell phone handset that had blue coloring.
    A single mobile phone manufactured by ITEL was found within the stolen items recovered.
    A Rodd handwatch bearing a worth of ₹1,83,100 remains under suspicion of theft.

    The authorities arrested Usman Ali after the raid and current further  proceedings are underway . The recovered heroin and the stolen items provide evidence that individuals may be connected to drug trafficking and illegal stealing activities. The authorities are continuing  their  investigation to gather more facts about the situation.
