    DEF hosted the Meghalaya Police Badminton Championship on the 17th of June at
    the Police Indoor Stadium at Police Reserve to encourage sports among Meghalaya
    Police officers. Police men from various districts and units participated.

    General of Meghalaya Police, kicked off the event.

    Police Badminton Championship was first held in 2018.

    reporter that every year on June 6th, the International Day Against Drug Abuse
    and Illegal Trafficking is commemorated, as it is this year, and the Meghalaya
    Police Badminton Championship is held as part of it.

    Police teams in all, 18 men's teams and 4 women's teams, with a total of 44
    players from all Meghalaya Police districts participating in the championship.
