The First Year anniversary of the HBS government and the people of Assam
On the occasion of the Assam government's one-year tenure, Union Minister Amit Shah paid a three-day visit to the state.

Digital Desk: CM Himanta Biswa Sharma led Assam Government is completing its one year reign on May 10; on this occasion, Union Minister Amit Shah has made his three-day visit to Assam on Monday.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also announced that starting May 10, state ministers will visit all of the state's districts to assess development and establish additional programs.

At the one-year ceremony Amit Shah, he will present the 'President's Colour' to Assam Police at a ceremony in Guwahati and interact with the officers and personnel of the force.

Next, he will speak at a public rally to commemorate the Sarma administration's one-year office.

As Sarma's reign has completed a year of administration in Assam, a quick follow-up is summed up on the promises made a year back by him; CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, according to the BJP Manifesto, listed 10 promises to the people of Assam.

Let's remind the promises made by the Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma's BJP-led government:

BJP-led government of Assam's first mission was "Mission Brahmaputra," with a vision to save people from flood-impacted areas, and flood is a major issue that leads to several deaths per year.

BJP chief JP Nadda the previous year stated that big reservoirs were to be built around the Brahmaputra to conserve extra water under Brahmaputra's vision to save the people from the flood.

The flood-prone area of the country is roughly 10.2 per cent of the total land, which means that the flood-prone area of Assam is four times the national average.

The second promise was to assist with the financial support of Rs 3000 per month under the "Orunodoi scheme."

Removal of illegal encroachment and a promise to pay 2.5 lakh as financial aid for all the Namghars.

The fourth promise, which is quality education for children of the state and free education for children studying, is government institutions, bicycles for girl students from class 8th standard onwards to stop the tribal dropout.

One of the crucial promises BJP led government made was that they would work on a corrected NRC (National Register of Citizens) for Assam people's protection; the main drive of attention was to protect the genuine Indian citizen and detect infiltrators to ensure the safety of Ahom civilization.

To make the state self-sufficient, the BJP government in Assam introduced the initiative of Assam Aahar Aatma Nirbharta.

Himanta's BJP-led government ensured job opportunities for the youth and proposed to make the state the fastest job creator in the country.

Two lakh people to get a government job, and about one lakh will get the jobs by March 31, 2022. Around eight lakh jobs are to enhance in the private sector.

Entrepreneurship to be promoted under the "Swami Vivekananda Youth Employment Scheme" for the next five years was the ninth promise made.

The tenth listed promise was to support more landless people through the 'patta' system.

After a year in power, CM Himanta's government has left four years of rest in their court. Will they be able to fulfil the promises made to the citizens of Assam?

The rising hike in fuel, electricity tariff, toll tax, medicine, and cooking gas has left the citizens suffering in dire conditions. Will The BJP-led government of Assam be able to solve the price spike in the next 4-year period?

As per the government reports, Assam's growth is dependent on the current government. Infrastructure, social services, and decent government all are required. It will need to improve its financial position. It is so cash-strapped that it can't even find 10% to participate in major initiatives. Downsizing the government is a must if Assam is to grow more quickly.
