CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has set a deadline of August 15 for full compensation.

Digital Desk: The Chief Minister Of Assam Himanta Biswa
Sarma declared that each flood-affected family residing in relief camps and
finding shelter on railroad tracks, dykes, and roadways will receive Rs 3,800
from the State government by July 5 so they may buy clothes, kitchenware, and
other necessities before returning to their homes.

deputy commissioners must provide necessary details and photos of any damaged
    homes.

with all deputy commissioners and ministers in charge, today, Chief Minister
Himanta Biswa Sarma demanded that they finish all forms of compensation before
August 15, after which the Government will not entertain any requests for
compensation. After August 15, the Chief Minister stated, "We will move
our priority to reconstruction of roads, bridges, embankments, and other
    infrastructure."

background:#F8F9FA">The Chief Minister has also instructed the DCs to ensure
that they do not omit any legitimately impacted families from the list of
beneficiaries or include any untouched ones. "We'll go over your lists
several times. Before transmitting the lists to the higher-ups, independently
verify them without relying on the mandals "said he. Deputy Chief
Minister: "Sort the damaged homes into three categories: "totally
destroyed, seriously damaged, and partially damaged." Designate as
"severely damaged" any damaged homes where family members cannot
occupy them. Photos of the damaged homes should be included with the list. To
allow us to finalise the compensation sums by July 22, please provide lists of
the affected homes by July 15."

handloom damage, etc., were also requested by the chief minister, and these
were to be sent by the deputy commissioners by August 7. "The lists of
pupils residing in relief camps are necessary. To enable them to purchase their
damaged books, we would compensate them each Rs 1,000 "declared the chief
minister. Additionally, he urged the deputy commissioners to act without
waiting for the results of the autopsies on the victims of the floods. The
government will compensate their next of kin Rs 4 lakh each, he claimed, if you
    simply give their names.

Added the Chief Minister: "We adhere to the time limit since past
experiences have shown us that flood victims often did not receive compensation
for many years. We saw contractors using mandals to submit exaggerated bills
and short supply as a tactic. Those times are over. Every bill will be verified
    by this government."
