Earlier on Sunday, he visited Kokrajhar to address the 57th Annual Conference of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU).

Later in the afternoon, he will reach Guwahati to chair a key meeting with the Chief Ministers of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Nagaland, and Sikkim. All the states will have to give one presentation each on the progress of the implementation of the BNS so far. Shah will fly back to New Delhi on the same day after the meeting.
