    The Director General of Police (DGP), Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta, stated earlier today that Victor Das was unable to provide reliable information on the subject and had erroneously interpreted the circumstances.

    Digital Desk: Victor Das, who was arrested by the Assam Police on Friday for rumor-mongering, has claimed that he gave them phone recordings.

    Das stated, "I have given the police all of the proof. Given that I have verifiable proof, I won't give up.

    He continued, "I have also offered call recording."

    Das' mother reportedly reacted to his detention as well and requested that he not be treated like a criminal.

    She questioned, "Will he claim anything without any supporting evidence? He spoke out for society by raising his voice."

    "He didn'traise his voice to disrespect the state government, she said. He spoke out against the dalals who were attempting to offer jobs in return for cash. Nobody makes such a significant decision without proof."

    It should be remembered that Victor Das was detained on Friday for allegedly distributing inaccurate information on candidates' selection for the Grade III and IV positions in the Direct Recruitment examination, which was held in Assam on August 21 and 28.

    Victor tweeted, "Respected Sir, a huge lobby is running for the backdoor appointment of the recently held ADRE exams where people are demanding money from 3 lakhs to 8 lakhs depending on the post, also a few ex-MLA is involved. Please help." He tagged the state Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, DGP Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta, and Special DGP GP Singh.
