    Regional Airline, ‘Flybig’ to connect Imphal with Guwahati via Tezu

    Imphal, the cultural capital of Manipur, is now directly connected to Tezu and Guwahati. This will surely benefit travellers with reduced travel hours and make air travel more economical with fares starting from INR 799.

    Flybig, a regional airline, will now connect Imphal with Guwahati via
    Tezu, as it adds one more sector under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ambitious
    UDAN scheme from September 26th, 2022.



    The
    route will be: Guwahati – Tezu – Imphal – Tezu – Guwahati



    It will
    be operational all days except Mondays.

    While
    announcing the new sector, Sanjay Mandavia, CMD, said, "We are supporting
    the vision of our Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji of giving a major economic
    boost to the hinterland regions of the nation." 



    "In
    coming days we will connect Imphal to major cities in the east and north-east
    with direct connections. We are humbled to inform you that we are continuing to
    keep our commitment to providing air connectivity in the Northeast region
    through the Ude Desh ka aam Nagrik scheme, "he added. 



    The Flybig started its operations in May 2021 with state-of-art ATR 72-500 and ATR
    72-600 aircraft, which are one of the safest and most reliable Aircraft for
    regional connectivity with comfortable cabin space. 



    Flybig
    operates 18 daily flights and is the only airline in India to have Guwahati as
    its main hub, from where it connects Guwahati to seven destinations, which
    include Tezu, Pasighat, Rupsi, Agartala, Dibrugarh, Kolkata, and Patna. 



    Imphal
    is the ninth destination to be launched on September 26th, 2022.
