Shillong and Tura will witness BJP peace protests

In view of this, the Meghalaya BJP will take out a peace rally in Shillong and Tura.

    Digital Desk: Meghalaya BJP Vice
President Bernard N. Marak was arrested by UP Police yesterday. Meghalaya
Police have left for UP to bring Marak back through transit remand. On the
other hand, Meghalaya BJP's Garo Hills Secretary Wilbur Dango was called to the
police station for questioning by the Tura police and kept him for almost six
hours and asked him to attend the police station continuously. against which
the Meghalaya BJP has raised a strong objection. The BJP said that their
workers are being harassed without any reason. In view of this, the Meghalaya
BJP will take out a peace rally in Shillong and Tura.

    At
a press conference held at the state BJP headquarters in Shillong, state BJP
state president Ernest Maury said that after the arrest of Bernard N. Marak,
the state BJP called an emergency meeting to chalk out the strategy ahead.
Responding to the questions of the reporters, Maury said that the farm house
which was raided by the police was being run by Bernard N Marak since 2019. If
there was news of any wrongdoing in it, then why was the raid not conducted
    earlier?

    Why
were raids conducted now? When elections are near, it is clearly visible that
this is a political vendetta. On the other hand, the police in Garo Hills are
harassing our other workers without any reason, so it becomes clear that this
is a political vendetta. We are not conducting this investigation for political
    reasons.
