    Digital Desk: The Indian shooting team continues to dominate in the 2018 Asian Games in Hangzhou, with Swapnil Kusal, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, and Akhil Sheoran winning gold in the 50 m rifle men's 3P event on Friday. Team India won gold with a total of 1769 points. 


    According to the Asian Games Medal Tally, the silver medal was won by South Korea with 1763 points, and the bronze medal was won by Japan with 1748 points. India's score also shattered the world record of 1761 points held by the United States since last year. 


    Sports Authority of India (SAI) Media tweeted stating, "1st gold for the day India's M 50m Rifle 3Ps team, featuring the trio - Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, @KusaleSwapnil, and Akhil Sheoran, secured the gold medal today, beginning the day on a golden note."


    This marks India's 15th medal in shooting at the 2018 Asian Games in Hangzhou.





    India holds 27 medals from the Asian Games Hangzhou, including seven gold, nine silver, and 11 bronze.


    Earlier, on Friday, the shooting trio of Esha Singh, Palak, and Divya Subbaraju extended the country's unstoppable run in shooting by winning a silver medal in the women's 10 m air rifle pistol team final at the 2018 Asian Games.


    India won silver with a total of 1731 points, coming just five points shy of gold, which was won by China with 1736 points. With 1723 points, Chinese Taipei won the bronze medal.


    Earlier in the day, Sarabjot Singh, Shiva Narwal, and Arjun Singh Cheema won a gold medal for India in the Men's 10m Air Pistol Team event at the Hangzhou Asian Games.


    Sarabjot Singh made a comeback in the match to finish fifth and qualify for the individual event final. Arjun Singh Cheema finished eighth and qualified for the final. Shiva Narwal finished 14th in the individual final, but the Indian team's aggregate total was enough to win gold by one point over China.


    With a total of 1734 points The Indian team won gold, China finished second with 1733 points, and Vietnam took bronze with 1730 points.
