    Digital Desk: The 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou witnessed a dazzling display of archery prowess from the Indian contingent as four exceptional archers secured their spots in the compound quarterfinals.


    India's first individual world champion, Aditi Swami, showcased her mettle by edging out Indonesia's Syahara Khoerunisa with a score of 148-146. This victory followed her earlier triumph over Imayung Rai, firmly cementing her reputation as a formidable competitor.


    Jyothi Vennam, another Indian archery sensation, delivered an impressive performance by defeating Iraq's Fatimah Saad Mahmood with a score of 146-141. Her success continued from the previous round, where she outclassed Anuradha Wijesinghe Karunaratne with a score of 145-132.


    Ojas Deotale, India's first men's world champion in archery, maintained his winning streak with a commanding 148-138 victory over Kuwait's Ahmad Alshatti. Deotale then faced a nail-biting pre-quarterfinal against Chinese Taipei's Chen Chieh-Lun, eventually clinching victory with a slender margin of 146-145.


    Abhishek Verma, a three-time Asian Games medallist, extended his campaign with a convincing win over Vietnam's Nguyen van Day, securing his place in the quarterfinals with a score of 146-142. Earlier in the day, he triumphed over Belal Ayman Alawadi of Saudi Arabia.


    The quarterfinals of the men's and women's compound individual archery are set to captivate fans on Tuesday at 6:10 AM IST. With all Indian archers advancing to this stage, hopes are high for a stellar performance.


    The archery events at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou commenced on Sunday and are scheduled to conclude on October 7.
