    Digital Desk: Sumit Antil and Pushpendra Singh showcased their prowess in the men's Javelin Throw-F64 final on Day 3 of the ongoing 4th Asian Para Games. Sumit Antil emerged as the star of the day, shattering records and clinching the gold medal, while Pushpendra Singh secured a well-deserved bronze.


    Sumit Antil's extraordinary feat included breaking the Asian Para Games record, World record, and Asian record with an astounding throw of 73.29 meters. His remarkable achievement came in the third attempt of the day, and it propelled him to the top of the podium. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's Arachchige Samitha secured the silver medal with a throw of 62.42 meters, and Pushpendra Singh secured the bronze with a toss of 62.06 meters.


    This triumph has placed India in the fifth position in the overall medal standings, having collected 36 medals in total, including 10 gold, 12 silver, and 14 bronze.


    The Indian contingent, which comprises 303 athletes (191 men and 112 women), aims to build on their earlier successes. In the 2018 Asian Para Games, India's 190 athletes secured an impressive 72 medals, including 15 gold, marking their best-ever performance at the quadrennial event.


    With the remarkable achievements of Sumit Antil and the Indian team's strong performance, the nation has much to celebrate at the 4th Asian Para Games.
