Digital Desk: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) appointed Amol Muzumdar as the new Head Coach of India Women's national cricket team on Wednesday.
The shortlisted candidates were interviewed by the Cricket Advisory Committee, which included Ms. Sulakshana Naik, Mr. Ashok Malhotra, and Mr. Jatin Paranjape.
The three-member committee officially recommended Amol Muzumdar to assume the position after thorough consideration.
Confirming this, BCCI Women wrote on X, "Mr Amol Muzumdar Appointed as Head Coach - Team India (Senior Women)."
Amol Muzumdar a former domestic star who is now a coach scored almost 11,000 first-class runs in 171 matches, including 30 centuries during his remarkable 21-year career. Additionally, he played in 14 T20 matches and more than 100 List-A games. After representing Mumbai in multiple Ranji Trophy victories, he went on to represent Andhra Pradesh and Assam.
