Digital Desk: Hardik Pandya has been retained by the Gujarat Titans (GT) for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 despite rumours that he is joining the Mumbai Indians (MI). The all-around player can still be traded to the five-time winners as the trading window shuts one week before the December 19 auction.

The deal might take place even after the auction concludes and before the next T20 competition begins. It was previously discovered that MI paid INR 15 crore, or roughly $1.8 million, to hire Pandya. However, the most recent update indicates that Hardik is still with the Titans.

In 2022, Hardik moved to the Titans, where he helped them win big in their IPL debut. Additionally, he was named Player of the Match after GT defeated the Rajasthan Royals in the 2022 Indian Premier League championship game.

After losing to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in an exciting final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Hardik's Titans concluded as the runners-up in 2023.

Hardik spent six seasons as a member of the MI team after beginning his IPL career there in 2015. In 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020, and 2015, he also won the IPL. However, MI let him go in 2021 following a lacklustre season.

Hardik has amassed 2309 runs at an average of 30.38 and a strike rate of 145.86 in 123 IPL games, with ten half-centuries to his credit. Additionally, he has taken 53 wickets and shown his skill with the ball.

Hardik recently competed for India in the 2023 World Cup, where India finished as the runners-up. Before being ruled out of the competition due to an ankle injury sustained during the encounter against Bangladesh, Hardik played in the first three games.
