The hosts clinched the series with an eight-wicket victory in the second ODI on Wednesday in Raipur. Chasing a target of 109 runs, India eased to 111 for two in 20.1 overs, courtesy of a half-century by Rohit Sharma. At first, Mohammed Shami's three-wicket haul helped India bowl out the visitors for 108 runs in 34.3 overs. Meanwhile, Washington Sundar and Hardik Pandya each received two dismissals.
Earlier, India defeated New Zealand by a commanding 67-run margin in the first ODI.
On the surface, the third ODI may appear to be a dead rubber, but both teams have a lot to look forward to.
