India defeated Sri Lanka 2-1 in the three-match series as they were dismissed for 137 runs in 16.4 overs while chasing a total of 229. Suryakumar Yadav scored an undefeated century to lead India to a massive total of 228/5 against Sri Lanka in Rajkot. Suryakumar needed just 19 deliveries to get to 100 runs after taking 26 balls to complete his fifty.
He hit nine sixes and seven fours in scoring 112 off 51 balls to remain unbeaten. Rahul Tripathi and Shubman Gill each scored 35 off 16 balls, with Shubman Gill scoring 46 off 36 balls to lead India in scoring. Dilshan Madushanka claimed two wickets for Sri Lanka, while Kasun Rajitha, Chamika Karunaratne, and Wanindu Hasaranga each claimed one. Initially, India captain Hardik Pandya chose to bat against the current Asian champions after winning the toss.
