    IPL 2024: Rajasthan Royals retain Assam all-rounder Riyan Parag
    Assam all-rounder Riyan Parag who finished the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 in excellent form, is among the players who have been retained.

    Digital Desk: Ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 Auction, the Royals Sports Group-owned Rajasthan Royals (RR) revealed a list of its 17 retained players.

    Assam all-rounder Riyan Parag who finished the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 in excellent form, is among the players who have been retained.

    The Assam captain set a new T20 cricket world record during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2023 when he became the first player to register seven straight hundreds in the format.

    Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel, Riyan Parag, Donovan Ferreira, Kunal Rathore, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kuldeep Sen, Navdeep Saini, Prasidh Krishna, Sandeep Sharma, Trent Boult, Yuzvendra Chahal, Adam Zampa, Avesh Khan (from LSG).
     
     List of players released by Rajasthan Royals:
     
    Joe Root, Abdul Basith, Jason Holder, Akash Vashisht, Kuldip
    Yadav, Obed McCoy, Murugan Ashwin, KC Cariappa, KM Asif.
     
    The IPL 2024 auction is slated to take place on December 19 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. This will be the auction's first time taking place outside of India.'

    Each club would have a budget of Rs 100 crore, an increase from Rs 95 crore in the previous season.

    The remaining fund for the RR is Rs 14.5 crore, and they need to fill nine spots, three of which are overseas.

    Each player's three-year contract ends this year, and a massive auction is anticipated the following year.
