The former all-rounder Yuvi believes India will win the tournament and compares the Men in Blue to the Australian team...
Digital Desk: The Men in Blue (Indian Team) could lose the summit match if a few things are not kept under control, according to former India cricketer and two-time World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh.
Host India will play Australia in the ICC World Cup 2023 Final on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
While in conversation with the national media channel Aaj Tak, the legendary cricketer Yuvraj Singh (Yuvi), discerns that "India could lose the final due to their own mistakes. This has happened before. The top three hitters are crucial. Australia has no chance if they score runs. However, if Australia manages to get rid of our top three, India would be put under pressure. It'll be interesting to see how the middle order handles this."
According to the 41-year-old's advice, the host nation's top three batters must step up if they are to win the match.
The former all-rounder also stated that India is behaving similarly to the Australia side of 2003 and that they will enter the final on the back of an unbeaten run. He has backed the Indian team to win the championship.
"India is playing cricket in the same way that Australia did in 2003. They were unbeaten and faced us in the championship game. India is now unbeaten and will face Australia in the final. India appears to be in good shape and has a good chance of winning the World Cup," Yuvi remarked.
"Rohit Sharma is a team player and a good leader. He's made some good bowling changes," Yuvraj commented.
