Digital Desk: India will take on New Zealand in the third T20I on Wednesday (February 1, 2023).  The match will start at 7 p.m. at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. India won the second T20I in Lucknow, bringing the three-match T20 series to a 1-1 tie. A win today will undoubtedly help Hardik Pandya's team maintain their number-one ranking. It will also help India's victory in the series. New Zealand will look to win the T20I series before returning home after losing the ODIs to India 0-3.

IND vs NZ 3rd T20I: Weather Forecast

The 3rd T20I between India and New Zealand is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., and the weather looks favourable so far. The humidity is expected to be between 35-45 percent, with a dew point of 7 degrees Celsius.

After the second T20I in Lucknow, the pitch curator was fired for preparing a rank turner on which batsmen struggled to get going.

"The curator has been removed and replaced by Sanjeev Kumar Agarwal, a very experienced curator. We'll have things back on track in a month," PTI reported.

"A lot of domestic cricket was already played on all the center wickets ahead of the T20I and the curator should have left one or two strips for an international game. The surface was overused, and there was not enough (time) to prepare a fresh wicket due to the bad weather," the report added.

India's captain, Hardik Pandya, also commented on the playing conditions in Lucknow, saying, "To be honest, it was a surprise wicket. Both of the games we've played so far. I don't mind playing on difficult pitches. I'm all for it, but these two wickets aren't intended for T20. Somewhere down the road, the curators or the grounds where we'll be playing should make sure the pitches are prepared ahead of time."
