Narendra Modi Stadium to host upcoming World Cup final; Wankhede to host one semi-final: Reports
While the ICC has yet to confirm the tournament schedule, it has been announced that the event will take place in various locations across India from October 5 to November 19.

Digital Desk: The iconic Narendra Modi Stadium is set to host yet another prestigious event this year, with the final match of the 2023 World Cup rumoured to take place there. The Narendra Modi Stadium, India's largest cricket ground, has played host to the final of the IPL 2022 as well as the 4th Test match between India and Australia.

Over 100,000 passionate fans will once again fill the stands at the end of the year, eagerly cheering on their favourite teams in the final match. According to Cricbuzz, the 2023 World Cup final will be held in Ahmedabad, with one of the two semi-finals taking place at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

The Wankhede Stadium has a long history, as it was the site of India's World Cup victory over Sri Lanka in 2011. This year's semi-final will be held at the stadium, with the winning team earning a trip to Ahmedabad.

There has been no discussion about Pakistan playing their World Cup matches at a neutral venue, according to Cricbuzz. According to a BCCI official, Wasim Khan, the PCB CEO, should avoid such talk.

While the ICC has yet to confirm the tournament schedule, it has been announced that the event will take place in various locations across India from October 5 to November 19. Pakistan is scheduled to visit India for the World Cup, as it did for the 2016 T20 World Cup.

Prior to the ICC event, India and Pakistan will compete in the Asia Cup, which will be hosted by Pakistan. The BCCI has already confirmed that Team India will not travel to Pakistan and will instead play their matches at a neutral venue.
