    Digital Desk: Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu will be a pundit in the future Indian Premier League 2024, Star Sports Network revealed on social media platform X (previously known as Twitter). 

    Sidhu was welcomed to Star Sports India's "incredible star cast" of commentators in a post published on March 19.

    "A wise man once said, "Hope is the biggest ‘tope’" And this wise man, the great @sherryontopp himself, has joined our Incredible StarCast!" the post read.



    Opening Ceremony of the IPL in 2024 
     
    Fans are eager to learn the lineup of singers for the star-studded opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League 2024, which takes place on March 22. The biggest athletic event in India was opened by Arijit Singh, Tamannaah Bhatia, and Rashmika Mandanna last year. 
     
    Actors Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, as well as well-known playback singers AR Rahman and Sonu Nigam, are expected to appear at the IPL 2024 opening ceremony, however this has not been confirmed officially yet.

    The 17th season's opening ceremony is scheduled to start at approximately 6:30 p.m. Indian Standard Time. The opening match will take place on March 22 at Chennai's MA Chidambaram International Cricket Stadium between the reigning champion Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). 
     
     IPL 2024: When and where to watch the matches 

    The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will play their first IPL 2024 match on March 22 at MA Chidambaram International Cricket Stadium in Chennai. Kickoff is set for 8:00 pm IST. 
     
    Fans of cricket may watch the IPL 2024 opening ceremony and live action on Sports Star. Jio TV will provide live streaming of the matches.

    The remaining league games in the 17th season will go off at 7.30 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. IST.
