Border-Gavaskar Trophy: Aussies bowled out for 113 in Day-3 Delhi Test, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin goes heavy on Australian Team
On Day 3 of the second Test, India helped bowl out Australia for 113 with the help of Ravindra Jadeja ...

Digital Desk: The power-packed duo R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja continued to dominate Australia as the star spinners caused upheaval in the morning session of Day 3 to dismiss the Australians for a dismal 113 runs at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Australia's batting performance seemed terrible, as the spin duo of Ashwin and Jadeja easily bowled them out.

On the third day of the second test on Sunday, Australia was all out for 113 runs in their second innings, giving India a winning target of 115. For India to win the second Test and establish a 2-0 unbeatable lead in the four-match series and win the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, they now need 115 runs.

Day 3's morning session saw Australia resuming at 61/1 with Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne at the crease. Nevertheless, Travis Head was dismissed for 43 by R Ashwin early in the first over, ending a strong second-wicket partnership.

Ashwin dealt another blow to Australia by knocking vice-captain Steve Smith for just nine runs. This made Ashwin the joint second-most successful bowler against the Australian vice-captain, having taken Smith's wicket eight times in Test matches.

After joining the fray, Ravindra Jadeja picked up seven wickets to smash the Australian team. With the help of poor shot selection, Jadeja picked up 7 for 42 to complete his 12th five-wicket haul, getting rid of Alex Carey, Nathan Lyon, Pat Cummins, and Matthew Kuhnemann.

It was a bad idea to try the sweep shot on a low pitch for the Aussies since Jadeja today had a field day.
