After scoring seven consecutive fifties for Assam, Parag is particularly noteworthy in the current Mushtaq Ali Trophy season with 510 runs in 10 matches at an 85.00 average and an astonishingly high rate of 182.79. His exceptional contributions were crucial to Assam's journey to the semifinals.

In addition, Parag finished first in the Deodhar Trophy run-scoring standings with 354 runs in five games at an average of 88.50 and a strike rate of 136.67, including two hundred and a fifty. He made a big contribution with the ball as well, collecting 11 wickets for East Zone at an average of 19.09.

Many of the players who are playing in the ongoing World Cup are anticipated to be rested by the selectors, making way for the players who won gold for India in the Asian Games in October.
