Digital Desk: In controversy yet again is former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli. This time, Andrea Hewitt, his wife, claims he beat her on Friday in their Bandra apartment and verbally abused her.

According to news agency ANI, a police report (FIR) has been filed against the former cricketer at Mumbai's Bandra Police Station after his wife complained. Under the influence of alcohol, she said that he beat her and verbally abused her.

The Mumbai Police claim that no arrests have been made in this matter to date.

According to a media source, Kambli entered his Bandra apartment while intoxicated and allegedly abused his wife. The event happened in the afternoon.

Additionally, Kambli is charged with injuring his wife's head by reportedly hurling a cooking pan handle at her.

The 12-year-old son of Kambli was present throughout the event and made an effort to calm down his father, according to the Times of India. Even yet, Kambli was unaffected.

The IPC sections 324 (willful infliction of bodily harm with dangerous weapons) and 504 (insult) have both been used as grounds for filing a police report against Kambli.

The former cricket player isn't in trouble for the first time.
Intoxicated driving led to Kambli's arrest in Mumbai's Bandra community last year after he struck a passing automobile there. He was arrested, and the Bandra Police Station looked into the matter.

Following a complaint from a member of the abovementioned Bandra society, Kambli was taken into custody. He was accused of violating section r.w. 185 of the Motor Vehicle Act of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) (driving under the influence of alcohol).
