Digital Desk: Indian star batter Virat Kohli has made a terrific comeback to his peak form, giving a strong reply to critics who questioned his technique and labeled him a "finished product" during his tough time between 2019 and 2022. Kohli's fortunes, however, changed when he made a century against Afghanistan in the T20 Asia Cup in 2022, and he hasn't looked back.

Before hitting his 28th Test century against Australia in the fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he scored one ODI century against Bangladesh and two ODI hundreds against Sri Lanka. He was India's leading scorer in the T20 World Cup.

Owing to his on-field performance, Kohli has established a huge fan base, likely making him the most popular cricketer in the country. A photo of Kohli from his century against Afghanistan in the 2022 T20 Asia Cup recently went viral on social media. Students were instructed to write 100–120 words about Kohli's performance for a class 9-question paper using the photograph as inspiration.

The much-awaited Indian Premier League 2023 is just around the corner, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore will undoubtedly have a big advantage as Virat Kohli is currently in great form. Kohli recently talked about going through a difficult time and coming back to regain his best form.

"It was only a matter of rediscovering the passion for the game. That was possible given how long I had been away from the action on the pitch. While I felt fatigued, I was looking for ways to do things. Before connecting with myself as a person, I needed to stop continually judging or scrutinising myself. Staying away from the game helped me. That helped me rediscover my excitement and love for the game. When I came back, everything was an opportunity, nothing was pressure," Kohli said in a discussion with Royal Challengers Bangalore.

On April 2, RCB will face the Mumbai Indians to begin their IPL season.
