    Digital Desk: The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) signed a partnership with global sportswear brand Adidas as a kit sponsor. The announcement was made by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah via his Twitter account, and spectators may notice a new limited overs jersey when the Indian team next enters the ground.

    However, the 2023 World Test Championship final would see them playing Australia while wearing white. The players are currently distributed among their various clubs in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL).

    Jay Shah taking Twitter wrote, "I'm pleased to announce @BCCI's partnership with @adidas as a kit sponsor. We are committed to growing the game of cricket and could not be more excited to partner with one of the world's leading sportswear brands. Welcome aboard, @adidas." 

    “The fine print of the contract is being worked out. But the valuation is set to go up,” a BCCI official said.

    However, it was previously known that Adidas will replace Killer on a five-year deal. Jay Shah did not provide any other information.

    After the three-year contract between the BCCI and the largest sportswear company in the world, Nike, expired in 2020, a new era was inaugurated with the creation of a partnership between the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and MPL Sports, the brand of the Mobile Premier League.

    The MPL agreement was good through December 31, 2023. 

    MPL was obligated to pay the BCCI Rs 65 lakh each match and 3 crores annually) as the merchandising partner. However, because it was difficult to uphold the agreement, MPL started looking for a replacement in 2022.

    According to reports, the agreement between the BCCI and Killer Jeans is set to expire on May 31.
