Everyone bursts into laughter as Ishan accurately mimics Virat's walk. Kohli responds to Kishan's imitation with an amusing walk of his own.
Digital Desk: Virat Kohli is well known for his batting prowess, but his personality both on and off the pitch also contributes to his enormous popularity. On the pitch, Virat is renowned for his energy and aggressiveness, but his supporters also adore his sense of humour and jokes. After Team India's 10-wicket victory over Dasun Shanaka's Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2023 Final on Sunday at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, a recent viral video has taken over the internet.
In the video, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya, Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Varma, and Mohammed Siraj are all seen standing with Virat. Everyone bursts into laughter as Ishan accurately mimics Virat's walk. Kohli responds to Kishan's imitation with an amusing walk of his own. As a result of admirers spreading the video quickly on social media, it is currently going viral on social media.
Mohammed Siraj racked up 6-21 in a devastating round to help India win its eighth Asia Cup championship with a 10-wicket thrashing of Sri Lanka on Sunday at the R. Premadasa Stadium, making him just the second bowler after Ajantha Mendis to take a six-fer in a men's ODI final.
Siraj picked up a magnificent career-best 6-21 in seven overs after the game was delayed by rain and resumed at 3:40 p.m., with four of those wickets coming in his second over of the match. The movement off the pitch greatly assisted Siraj in making the ball talk both ways and confusing Sri Lankan batters.
Siraj destroyed the Sri Lankan batters, becoming the first Indian bowler to take four wickets in as many balls. Hardik Pandya also claimed three wickets and Jasprit Bumrah added one. The Indian fast bowlers took all ten wickets, reducing Sri Lanka to 50 all out, their lowest total in an ODI and ever against India.
India sent Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill to open the innings in order to chase a meagre 51. Shubman Gill finished the chase with 263 balls remaining. Pramod Madushan was casually flicked for four by Gill to start things off, and Matheesha Pathirana was ramped and sliced by Kishan for back-to-back fours.
By hitting a drive, punching past point, and smashing a pull, Gill feasted on Madhushan's deliveries and sped through the chase by taking three boundaries off him. He and Kishan both scored four runs off Pathirana with a flip and a drive and then Gill hit a breathtaking drive off Dunith Wellalage for four runs and Kishan grabbed the single to secure India's straightforward victory in just 37 deliveries.
