Aravinda de Silva, the 110th inductee on the illustrious list, enjoyed a remarkable 19-year career representing Sri Lanka and played a pivotal role in their iconic 1996 World Cup triumph. Reflecting on this monumental achievement, De Silva expressed his gratitude, stating, "This achievement is a tribute to the dedication, sacrifice, and love that have shaped my cricketing journey."
De Silva's cricketing legacy includes 93 Tests and 308 ODIs for Sri Lanka, concluding his international career after the 2003 ODI World Cup with an impressive record of 15,645 runs and 135 wickets.
Diana Edulji, the 111th inductee and the first Indian woman to be enshrined in the ICC Hall of Fame, had a stellar 17-year career representing India. Her contribution to the game is undeniable, having played T20 Tests and 34 ODIs for India, amassing 63 and 46 wickets, respectively. Edulji expressed her delight at being the first Indian women's cricketer to receive this prestigious honor.
Virender Sehwag, the legendary Indian opener, etched his name in cricket history with pivotal roles in India's World Cup victories in 2007 (T20) and 2011 (ODI). Known for revolutionizing the opener's role in Test cricket, Sehwag played 104 Tests, 251 ODIs, and 19 T20Is for India, accumulating over 17,000 runs in international cricket.
