A emerging star in the Karnataka cricket scene, Vrinda Dinesh has proven her worth on the women's circuit over and over again during the last two years. When the India Under-23 team participated in the ACC Emerging Teams Cup in Hong Kong, Vrinda was first exposed to elite cricket. Her great warm-up match performances attracted her notice even though she wasn't originally chosen. The quick bowler S Yashasri was then injured, which led to Vrinda being sent up.
